Found this through another blog post from The League of Ordinary Gentlemen.  I like the argument, and I think it’s right.  It’s certainly true of religious ethics and things like that; I find a lot of great arguments online, but they’re rarely contextualized.  You’ve got to go to the long-form explanations to find anything to fit it into.
